Your question isn't clear. Also your products don't run El Capitan. That's a Mac OS.
Instagram may need an update because Facebook is migrating to the new Meta standard. Same with Facebook itself. Visit the App Store on your device to verify you are running the most current versions of these Apps. Facebook and Instagram are now owned by the same company.
