Apple ID on Apple Watch

Writing the password on the watch screen will not work for 0 (zero) or capital letters in the middle, or @ symbols. The device cannot comprehend them, for me. This is for my Apple ID which has been changed and I cannot write it in, or have the option for text keyboard to enter the new one. Any idea how to get this fixed.

You only need to enter the password on the iPhone when setting up.

First try to unpair your old watch to also remove data and activation lock using the old ID and password.

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch – Apple Support (UK)

If that is not available, Erase the Watch (Settings, General, Reset, Erase all content and settings)

This will not remove the Apple ID activation lock.

Set up the Watch using the iPhone and enter the password for the ID as requested.

Set up your Apple Watch – Apple Support (UK)
