Ventura 13.1 update crash after login

Hi everyone,

I upgraded to 13.1 and everything went fine. However, after the login screen and the successful entering of my password the Apple logo and progress bar appear but freeze at 5ish percent. I tried safe boot, online reinstall, offline reinstall via a boot USB but nothing worked. It keeps freezing at this point without any message. Recovery terminal etc, are working fine.

Any chance for a smart hint what I can try to determine the issue ? I thought about downgrading to 13.0 or even before to force a new installation.

Thanks

Max

Boot into Internet Recovery (Option Command R) and from the dropdown menu: Utilities>  Disk Utility> run the First Aid on your Macintosh HD (and the "Macintosh HD-Data" volume as well if Catalina/Big Sur/Monterey/Ventura) If errors are found and repaired, run again until no errors reported.

Disk Utility>View>Show All Devices The best sequence is —

Volume level

Container level

Parent drive
