How do I get numbers and letters in an outline on Mac?

Assuming that by "outlines" you are referring to letter and number characters that have an outline of each letter, and no fill colour inside the outlines, you would need to either apply a Style to the text, or use an Outline font built specifically for this purpose.


As can be seen in the Format Inspector below, 'Outline' (or an equivalent name) is not available as a Style (like Bold or Italic) that can be applied to characters in the text string, and only three of the fonts supplied with your Mac, Phosphate, Princetown LET and Academy Engraved LET come close to what you are looking for. See the top line in the example below.


Many other font sets that work with Mac are available, some free, others for sale, on the 'net. Search Fonts for MacOS to locate them.
