Remote clicker for iPad

I need to use a bluetooth wireless clicker to click through slides or pdfs on my iPad. I do not want to use an iPhone or iPod to do this. I can't find a clicker that says it would work with my ancient iPad 2. I am happy to buy a new (refurbished) iPad to achieve this, but am finding it very hard to see which iPad and which clicker might work together. Can anyone offer me advice? I would actually be just as happy with a wired connection between iPad and clicker, but doubt any wired solutions exist in 2022!

There are no such devices for iPads.

For newer iPad models, that support iPadOS 14 and later, you should be able to setup and use the latest Apple wireless Bluetooth Magic Trackpad or Magic Mouse.

OR

a third party Bluetooth wireless mouse, like the Logitech Pebble mouse.

OR with a newer iPad model compatible with iPadOS 14 and later and using an Apple USB-C to USB OR Lightning to USB adapter use an actual, newer wired Apple mouse.

Sorry & Good Luck to You!

Michael, thank you very much for taking the trouble to reply, it is much appreciated. Looks like I will have to bite the bullet and buy myself a newer iPad. I thought I might have to. I think a 2020 refurb looks about right for my budget. Just a quick nod to Apple's build quality. My ancient iPad 2 is still going strong after what must be more than a decade. It can't cope with some newer apps, games and websites, but that's the march of technology for you! Anyway, thanks again. Andy.
