when my iPhone 13 camera app is open, it flashes black and won’t take any photos. It’s almost like it’s trying to focus or set light but it doesn’t do anything and flashes every 2 seconds. If you try and take a photo it just doesn’t. It works fine when on Facebook or WhatsApp so must be something in Apple settings

Have you tried doing a hard reset?
Press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.
