Turn off TV with Apple TV remote

Hi,

I have a Apple TV 4K, connected to my TV via HDMI-CEC. CEC is activated on my TV.

When I use my remote (or my phone) to turn on the Apple TV, the TV also turns on without problem. However, when I turn off the Apple TV, the TV stays on. Is there a way to turn off the TV with the Apple TV remote too?

Thanks!

What is the model TV?

Ask manufacturer support staff if CEC functionality on the TV supports the TV being set to standby by connected devices. Any of the CEC functions can be optional per device model. It depends on what this manufacturer chooses to support.
