Assistive touch not working in landscape

I have assistive touch set up with a custom action to tap the screen ten times on a single spot. This worked well in the past, and now all of a sudden it only works in portrait screen alignment. When I rotate to landscape, it touches the screen about two inches to the left of the location that I touch. I have a friend with iPhone who is also experiencing this same malfunction. Please advise.

Greetings Stephhoward7,

If the display on your iPhone is not working as expected, begin by following the guidance found here:

If the screen isn't working on your iPhone or iPad

"If your screen is too sensitive or responds intermittently to touch

  1. Restart your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Make sure that your screen is clean and free of any debris or water.
  3. Disconnect any Lightning or USB-C accessories. If your screen works after removing an accessory, try using a different outlet, cable, or charger.
  4. Remove any cases or screen protectors.

If your screen still isn't working, you might need to set up service for your device. Contact Apple Support."

Take care.
