Add Event to Multiple Calendars

I’d like to add an event to two calendars. Can you tell me how to do this? Thank you!

Hello SuzanneEW,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We want to help you get events added to you calendars.

You can use these steps to add your calendar events:

"Add an event

  1. In Day view, tap the Add button at the top of the screen.
  2. Enter the title of the event.
  3. Tap Location or Video Call, then enter a physical location or tap FaceTime to enter a video link for a remote event.
  4. You can also copy a FaceTime link you created or received and paste it in the Location field. See Create a link to a FaceTime call on iPhone.
  5. Enter the start and end times for the event, the travel time, invitees, attachments, and so on. (Swipe up, if necessary, to enter all the meeting information.)
  6. Tap Add."

This Apple Support page has the full details: Create and edit events in Calendar on iPhone - Apple Support

While there isn't a way to directly add an event to two calendars, we hope these steps can help you add each event individually.

Cheers!

An event can only belong to one calendar, and the built in calendar app doesn’t have any easy way to replicate the event to a 2nd calendar. You would need a 3rd party app like Week Calendar or Fantastical. In my Week Calendar app I can tap on an event, tap the Share icon, and chose “duplicate”, then tap on the duplicate entry and set a different calendar from the dropdown.
