I recovered a deleted contact, but now I cant delete that contact anymore. If I delete it, it just shows up again.

Hi there Martin,

We'd like to confirm more details to better understand what's happening, along with ruling out some general possible causes:

  1. You mentioned that you delete this contact in the past, but retrieved it from your deleted contacts. You also mentioned wanting to delete the same contact a second time, and it deletes, but shows up again later. How long after you delete it does it show up again within the Contacts app?
  2. Does this occur for every contact, or has it only occurred for this one specific contact?
  3. When did this first start?
  4. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPhone
  5. If you have a compatible iPhone model, the latest version is iOS 16.2. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.

Cheers!
