updating icloud settings
Setting up new iPad. All data has been transferred from old iPad, but the new iPad has had the message "updating iCloud settings" for 6 hours. Is this normal?

From the details you provided, it does sound like your new iPad may still be syncing/updating with iCloud after finishing the transfer from your old iPad. Depending upon how much content there is to sync, it can take a while. If it's still showing that message when you go to sleep, we recommend leaving your iPad connected to Wi-Fi and to a charger overnight.
While nothing seems out of the ordinary from the details you provided, we wanted to confirm our understanding of what's happening, along with ruling out some other general things:
- You mentioned it shows that it's still updating iCloud settings, but where exactly is this showing?
- Are we correct in understanding you used the Quick Transfer method to transfer from your old to new iPad, or did you restore your new iPad from the old one's backup?
