Can’t invite my wife after conversion

I can’t invite my wife back into the home app again, since the conversion of the home in iOS 16.2

ios 16.2 -- can't invite wife to home (upgraded architecture) I upgraded all the devices as required for updating the Home architecture and then upgraded my wife's phone (11 pro) to iOS 16.2 and I've tried to invite her to join our home, but she keeps opening the home app to find that it has created a new home for her and she is unable to join our existing home. She receives the invitation, clicks it, it looks like the app is updating to add the home, but then it returns to the home that has no devices. I see her as a "resident" in my home settings, as though she has accepted the invitation, but I can't change any of the settings for her account and I can't remove her as a resident from the home so that I can try to re-invite her.

Apple Homekit invitation failed After my wife and I updated to iOS 16.2, I am not able to successfully invite my wife to my Apple Home app. I am the Resident (Owner) in the Home app. I am able to invite her from my iPhone (using either her phone number or her iCloud email address). She is able to accept the invite. But in less than 30 seconds the invite disappears from both of our phones. She does not see my Home on her phone. Prior to iOS 16.2 this was working fine. We both have iphones with iOS 16.2 installed. We have rebooted both of our phones, but that doesn't solve the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello BakkerMartijn,

To start, you'll want to add more specific details to your post. What is preventing you from inviting someone to Home? When you go into the Home app and Home Settings, is the Invite People option no longer showing there? Is the option there, but it doesn't allow you to select anyone? Are you able to send an invite but the other person never receives it? Are you getting some sort of error? Etc.

Details like these will help give the community a better idea of what you're seeing so members can provide more relevant responses.

In the meantime, here's some basic steps for sharing access to Home that may help: Allow others to control accessories in your home
