Problems with Find My app and Studio Beats ear buds

I could not find my ear buds so I used the app it showed that they were in my house which is great. But there are more then one room in some houses mine has more then one room. And lots of toddler toys. So I was counting on the making a sound to find them in the many places a toddler could put them if they somehow got hold of them or I put them down somewhere and forgot and was just walking past them or they were under something. The app would tell me waiting to connect and the second box would appear saying waiting to connect to play sound. Nothing ever happened with that. I tore my house apart to find that they were under the blanket of the bed I was sitting on that I had made earlier in the day. I held them in my hand in the box and my phone never connected I took the buds out and my phone never connected. They were right next to each other. This is pretty pointless if I cant get it to make the sound. I also hopped onto my computer and had it find my phone and it did and made it make noise. I had it look for the buds and the same thing happened with the computer that happened with the phone. It gave me location but not sound. Also Find My app thinks my phone is in my neighbors house and the buds are in my house so I restarted my phone and that fixed that problem for the most part. Why cant I get the buds to make a sound it is 1:45 am here and I have been looking since 11:00pm it would have been solved in 2 seconds if it made noise because I would have heard it on the bed and the dog would have definitely helped since she was sleeping on them.

Are you on the latest software for IOS? If not, I would update. Also unpair the ear buds from your bluetooth settings and pair again (pretty quick fix usually). See if that helps the issue of Find My not being able to connect.

Unfortunately, Studio Beats ear buds don’t have a speaker on the case (only the AirPods Pro 2 can make a noise from the case). If you had lost a single ear bud, you could use Find My to locate and play a sound from either the left or right bud, but not if they’re both inside the case. Wish Apple thought to have the case make noise when they first released the AirPods/Beats ear buds.

I’ve lost my case to my beats ear buds so many times, I might just upgrade to the AirPods Pro 2. On top of that I lost one earbud to the beats buds, Find My couldn’t connect to it because the bud is out of battery. It’s somewhere in my house - I have to really look for it like you, wish me luck.

Hope this helps!
