Iphone 13 esim option not available under cellular even though the device has 2 IMEI numbers

Hello everyone, I just got an iPhone 13, 128GB and I can see that it supports two sims (one nano, one esim) but I cannot add a cellular plan from settings. That option seems to be disabled. Any help would be much apprecaited. Thanks!

Hi oluwasayo208,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you're unable to set up cellular service using your eSIM on your iPhone.

Have you already contacted your carrier to ensure they support eSIM? This article will show you how to isolate this behavior further: If Dual SIM with eSIM isn't working on your iPhone

"If you can't set up your eSIM

  • Check with your carrier to see if your iPhone plan is eligible for Dual SIM service.
  • If you have an enterprise or corporate cellular service plan, check with your company or carrier to see if they support this feature.
  • Make sure that your carriers support coverage in your area and that there are no service outages.
  • Make sure that your cellular plans are set up, ready to use, and don’t have a billing-related blockage.

If you still can't set up your eSIM, contact your carriers for support. "

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
