Will HomeKit Secure Video work with MAC Big Sur 11.7.2?

Will HomeKit Secure Video work with MAC Big Sur 11.7.2? I have HomeKit set up and I can view my videos although I can't find the "Streaming" option to turn on so that my iCloud can save video that is detected via motion. Can you assit?? I also work with iPhone 6s+ and I have an iPad. They are all conneced to the home app and I can view video. Although none of them are saving video that has been captured by my security cameras.

Hey Bossdanmar,

Yes, HomeKit Secure Video will work on your Mac with macOS Big Sur.

Set up HomeKit Secure Video on your Mac
On your Mac, do one of the following:
• macOS Ventura: Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, click [your name] at the top of the sidebar, click iCloud on the right, then turn on Home.
• macOS 12 or earlier: Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Apple ID, click iCloud, then select Home.

You can view and share HomeKit Secure Video footage stored in iCloud using the Home app on your Mac. You must use an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to add a security camera to Home.

For more information on how to view and share HomeKit Secure Video on your Mac, see Set up security cameras to use with Home on Mac.

For full details, see the article Set up HomeKit Secure Video on all your devices for more details.

Also, you will want to read over Store encrypted security camera footage in iCloud with HomeKit Secure Video.

Reach back out if you have any questions.

Take care!
