When my M1 Mac Mini updated itself to Ventura, the scroll wheel on my Microsoft Ergonomic Mouse (USB) stopped working. I was really just waiting for a fix, because my MacBook Air at work (M2) is still working fine with the same mouse on Monterey. I saw on here this was reported in late October and figured it would have been addressed by Apple by now.

FWIW, if the mouse requires software I would check with Microsoft to see if there is an updated version.
Looked around the web, but only found links to 3rd part download sites, not Microsoft. I mean, isn't a scroll wheel a basic function of an OS? Not everyone wants to use a Magic Mouse. Part of the original marketing of the Mac Mini was "you already have a mouse and keyboard, here's an inexpensive computer to use with what you already have and it's a Mac."

Don't know what to tell you. I have a $7 Belkin mouse and the scroll wheel works with Ventura.
