i can’t download apps without it saying billing information

I canceled whatever subscription I had that was stopping me from downloading apps but I still can’t download anything. When I try to it pops up billing information and I put my card information and it tries taking money from me, I don’t know how to fix this.

I canceled whatever subscription I had that was stopping me from downloading apps

See -> Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

  • If you delete an app, it doesn’t cancel in-app subscriptions that you might have. While deleting an app, you might see a Cancel Subscriptions option. Learn how to cancel your subscriptions.

If you don't want to continue a subscription you need always to cancel that subscription in time, see the following Apple articles:

If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple

If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

If the subscription that you want to cancel is not listed

If the subscription that you want to cancel is not listed – Apple Support (UK)

and I put my card information and it tries taking money from me,

See -> If a message says 'billing problem with previous purchase' or 'verification required'

If a message says 'billing problem with previous purchase' or 'verification required' - Apple Support

  • If these messages appear, you might be unable to make purchases, download free apps, or use subscriptions. To fix the issue, change your payment method. If you can't change your payment method, you can redeem a gift card and use the balance to pay for any unpaid orders.
