Hi etaylorabel,
We're happy to provide some clarification about this. When you subscribe to an Apple Music Family subscription, all members of the Family Sharing group would have full access to the entire Apple Music catalog. If you're looking for a specific song that a family member has, you'll just search for it in the Apple Music catalog. If you're accessing Apple Music on an iPhone check out the steps in Search for music on iPhone to see how.
- Tap Search.
- Tap Apple Music, and do any of the following:
- Enter a song, artist, album, playlist, radio show or episode, station, video, category, curator, record label, or profile.
As an alternative, if you're wanting to be able to see what members of your Family Sharing group are listening to, you would all want to set up an Apple Music Profile, then find and follow each other. See what friends are listening to in Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device has more information about getting this set up.
If you're looking for music purchased by a Family Member via the iTunes Store rather than what they've downloaded or added to their library in Apple Music, check out How to download apps and content that your family members purchased.
Cheers!
