Send album or movie as a gift

In order to send an album or a movie as a gift, Apple states one must click on the arrow (share) bottom of that item, then choose "gift". However, the only arrow available does not allow to share as a gift.

Like user picas indicated, you can’t gift movies or TV shows from the Apple TV app. These types of content can only be gifted from the iTunes Store app on iPhone or iPad.

On Macs with macOS Catalina 10.15 or later, find the bundled TV app to access purchased movies from the iTunes Store.

On Macs with macOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier, use the bundled iTunes application to access these movies.

On PCs with Windows, use the iTunes application to access these movies.

These apps need signing in (menu Account) to fetch lists of purchased content on the account. Then users can find their own movies in the Library tab.

Thanks again for your answer. In my Apple TV, I have an iTunes Movies icon, and can find there my purchases.

However, I see no such icon on my MacBook, and find no way to download iTunes from the AppStore. How could the recipient of a movie watch it on her/his computer?

Thanks a lot, I didn't expect the gift option to be available only in iPhones and iPads.

The recipient of a movie being sent as a gift will be able to watch it on her/his computer and Apple TV, or only on her/his iPhone or iPad?

The recipient of a movie being sent as a gift will be able to watch it on her/his computer and Apple TV, or only on her/his iPhone or iPad?

The gifted movie will be playable on any device with the Apple TV app or iTunes application, when signed in with the Apple ID account of the recipient.
