can't get Dolby Atmos to turn off.

I have a pair of original HomePods in a stereo pair. When asking Siri to play music, it defaults to Dolby Atmos when available. even though I have all my settings set to OFF for Dolby Atmos. This is very frustrating, I can tell instantly when a song is in Dolby Atmos, it sounds like 100% garbage with all the vocals quiet and full of reverb.

I think I finally solved this. that option shown above "Use in Home". yeah, turn that OFF! then in the home settings for each HomePod, go to the Primary User, and (even if it says your name) click this and make sure your name is selected and not "HomePod Account". I had to do this 3 times as it kept turning itself back to HomePod Account, strange, no explanation for that. but, once it stuck, the Dolby Atmos is finally gone.

Hello KGeibel,

We always start troubleshooting issues like these by power cycling the device. While simple, this can refresh the operating systems, apps and connections.

If the issue continues, we would try to isolate the conditions where it occurs. Do tracks that are already downloaded to a device play with Atmos enabled if you choose to play them through the HomePods? Does this happen with any source?

If unable to isolate and resolve the issue, the next thing we would would be to reach out to Apple Support. They will be in the best position to assist you further.
