Quickly search and find a blocked number on your iPhone or iPad

Like many others, I have 100's of phone numbers that are in my iPhone's "Blocked List" and trying to search for, and/or find the status of a particular number required me to scroll through all the numbers manually, page after page. Ugh... Why Apple doesn't add this to the main iPhone search function or add a simple search or sort feature to the blocked list is beyond me. Anyways, I found a lot of other people looking for a way to do this but didn't find any solutions posted. Here's what I did as a workaround. Hope it helps someone....

  1. Create a new contact and add the number that you're trying to search for and potentially "un-block" (or block).
  2. Save the contact and scroll to the bottom. If it says "Unblock this Caller", it means the number is already in your blocked list. Simply click the "Unblock this Caller" button and it will be removed from the blocked list.
  3. If it says "Block this Caller" in red font, then the number is NOT currently in your blocked list.
