I am worried that I may have had a keylogger downloaded onto my Mac because of details which have been brought up in discussion which would be very unlikely to be known without some way of spying on my tech. My computer has also been running slowly and I expect that is because it is old and I need to service the battery. I have an EtreCheck report if that will help?

That's really all you need to know. Contact Apple to get it replaced: Get help with your Mac laptop battery - Apple Support. Apple will perform a thorough diagnosis to include the possibility something may be amiss with that Mac's internal storage:
SSD too slow - SSD is showing poor performance.
There is absolutely no indication of a keylogger or anything else of concern on that Mac.
