wallpaper issues

With the new ios 16 update, I did the other day, my wallpaper is not what it once was. I used to have 2 separate photos. now I can only have 1. It would not be so bad, but the locked screen has a clear picture and when I put in my passcode, it is the same picture but blurred. but other times it is black. I find this new feature really pointless. I loved having it the way it was prior to the update. is there any way of getting it back? I found an article saying you could downgrade your ios but it did not lead to instructions that worked. I'm all for changes, but this one is downright bad.

Hi BlueSwan,

Please follow the steps below to see how to customize either the Home Screen or Lock Screen for your iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 16.

  1. Go to Settings then tap Wallpaper
  2. From there, if you have multiple wallpapers added, swipe to select the wallpaper you want to edit.
  3. After that you can tap "Customize" on the Home Screen (the second screen showing)
  4. Near the middle-bottom area of the screen, you can tap "Photo" and choose your desired photo from your photo library. Right by that, there is also an option to "Blur" which you can tap to remove or add a blur for that wallpaper.

We hope that helps.

Take care.
