All, iPhone 14 is up to date. I wanted to forward an email containing tickets for the Apple wallet.
However, when I tried it, Mail crashes / quits. Now the draft email is at the bottom of the mail screen, and every time I try to open the email, the mail application crashed / quits?
Other than removing and adding the account again, is there anything that I can do?

I had exactly the same issue (with some event tickets for wallet). I haven’t found a way to successfully forward the tickets but at least I found a way to close the draft so it’s not dangling at the bottom of the mail app anymore:
Just start to compose another email and swipe it down to obtain a second draft (in addition to the one that’s crashing). When you then re-open the drafts by clicking on the subject line at the bottom of the mail app, it will open an overview of all your drafts (like browser tabs) and you’ll be able to close the crashing draft by clicking the x.

Had exactly the same issue. Solved it permanently, after combining some answers from this forum.
1) create a new draft email
2) swipe down (don’t cancel and save)
you now have two drafts
3) swipe up to see the stacked windows in the mail app with the two drafts
4) swipe left to delete the draft(s)

4. Delete the app, then redownload it
Delete the app. When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Then redownload the app. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed.

I had exactly the same issue and the only thing that helped me was to delete the Mail application and download it again. Only after that the annoying draft in the bottom disappeared.
The fix for removing the crashing draft works, but how are we six months and 4+ revisions of iOS 16 on and this is still happening!?
Edit: another workaround- add the pass to your wallet, select the three dot button in the upper right, select “Pass Details,” select the export button in the upper right, choose the recipient.
I have exactly the same issue, also with a file related to wallet. Have tried force close of app and restarting phone which makes no difference. The email header appears at the bottom of the screen and as soon as you tap it the app crashes. If you don’t tap it, you can carry on using mail as normal. Regarding third suggestion of deleting the app and potentially asking for money back, it is the Apple email app so don’t think a refund is relevant. I have multiple email accounts set up so deleting the app will be a real pain… any other suggestions?

Awesome - finally I have followed your approach and got rid of the draft that was causing the crash. Thanks so much for sharing that. The way I got around forwarding was to go back to website and save the ticket to downloads then attach it to an email from there, but that only works if you can go back to website to get a re issued ticket. It's a very annoying bug because it hangs out at the bottom of the screen and you spend some time every day trying to fix the problem but it just crashes the app when you click on the forward.

Is it a security thing that emails with wallets can’t be forwarded on?
if so, just make it official and we will know to avoid for the future, because it’s a pain…
Exact same issue when I tried to forward an email with a boarding pass Wallet attachment. I think the email app has a bug with wallet related attachments.
