Sometime in the middle of the day on Monday, December 19, my iMessages on my iPhone 13 Pro Max switched to green. I have rebooted the iPhone and the router, checked the settings and iMessage is turned on. It's happened to another individual in our household as well.
There is nothing specifically wrong with seeing green bubbles in Messages.
Green bubbles denote SMS messages. These are sent to non Apple devices or Apple devices that have iMessage off, or don't have an internet connection.
There's no way for you to fix it, whoever these messages are being sent to, may not have an available Internet connection or have turned off their iMessage. In either case, it will default to SMS as the only way to send the message.
