RE: Charging alarm sound for all alarms
Re: Changing alarm sound for all alarms - Apple Community
If you left it set for default, you can easily change them all by changing the default alarm in Settings > Sounds & Haptics. See Change iPhone sounds and vibrations for details.
This is completely misleading. There is no "default alarm" setting in that screen:
The only thing close is Reminder Alerts - changes the sound only for the Reminder app.
Specifically I am trying to change the default alarm sound, when I am asking Siri, like "Set alarm for 10:15 am". It appears to be based off of some type of "last time you chose" memory. That is, if I go in and edit an alarm at some point to Ringtone A, then for the next while after that any new alarms I create will start going off of Ringtone A. Then the next time I happen to edit an alarm (or set up a new one) with Ringtone B, from that point on Siri will continually create alarms with Ringtone B.
This kind of "just do the right thing" attempt at functionality would be fine if it was consistent. I have been trying to change the default now for a while. Even if I create new alarms, change the ringtone on existing alarms: it does not change. Asking Siri to make a new alarm is still stuck on whatever old ringtone I had it set on. I have rebooted my phone, deleted a lot of alarms, I don't know how to get this changed.
Please Help.
