Apple is charging me for free game downloads and game updates and I can't play my games because of it. Every time I try to update my games it tells me that there is a billing problem. And I'm not paying for something that is supposed to be free. That's just BS.
You have to have a payment method on file in order to play. Even free apps often offer in-app purchases or are only free for a limited time then have to be paid for. You will not be charged unless you actually incur an expense. But you have to have a payment method on file. It’s Apple’s policy. You will not be charged for anything that is free.

You still need to have a valid billing method in the App Store even if you only download free things. Resolve whatever the issue is and you'll be able to update your apps. If the apps are free, it won't cost you anything.
I'm so not happy with any apple products at all.
