Hi 130steve,
Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.
With your Mac not able to use Continuity Camera for iPhone, make sure that you are signed in with the same Apple ID and that your Apple ID has two-factor authentication enabled. Your Mac and iPhone must not be sharing an internet connection.
You can find these and additional requirements in Continuity Camera: Use your iPhone or iPad to scan documents or take a picture on your Mac.
Regards.
As soon as I plugged my iPhone into the Mac it worked.
Thank you for your time/knowledge.
Steve
Thank you.
I had previously checked that I was signed in with the same Apple ID, Two factor is On, but I did not check the internet connection. However, with my iPhone on cellular and Mac on Ethernet (WIFI off on both) I still do not see my camera. I also tried with my iPad with no joy.
I've watched several videos about it, and I've never seen the pop-up screen that asks if I want to use my iPhone.
I am sure I am doing something wrong, but I am stumped.
Hi 130steve,
Glad to hear all is well. Thanks for letting the community know what happened.
Take care!
