My IPad Has White Bezels & Black Home Button

I bought an second hand iPad Pro (10.5 inches - 2017) from a local dealer. It's a silver color variant. My concern is that, the iPad has a white color front bezel with a black home button. What does that mean? Display change? or is it common? Please look at the image below. Thanks.

For older iPads with a physical Home Button, only those with a slate-grey chassis have a black display bezel with a matching TouchID/Home button. All other chassis colour variations feature a white display bezel with a white TouchID/Home button.

As such, your photograph would suggest that the iPad has been repaired by someone other than Apple’s network of Authorised Service Providers (AASPs). If repaired by Apple or an AASP, your iPad would have a white button.

It would appear that the home button was changed for some reason. The silver iPads had a white bezel screen along with a matching white Home button.

Does Touch ID work on the iPad? If not, then the Home button was definitely changed by a third-party with non-functioning Touch ID and they simply used a third-party black home button. Third-party Home buttons do NOT have functioning Touch ID. The iPad's Home button is serialized to it's matching iPad logic board. Only Apple or it's AASPs) has the ability to correctly change the Home button to be functional with Touch ID as intended...and Apple would NOT use a third-party black Home button for the repair.
