Hi prattyush,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with the phone numbers listed in your Contacts. We'd like to help.

Are your contacts stored in iCloud or another with another account? If you're not sure follow these steps to see what is listed:

  1. Go to Contacts
  2. Choose Lists in the top left corner
  3. View accounts

Do you see iCloud listed? Are their other accounts there as well? If so, take a look at the contacts below each item and see if you can tell which account is having this issue.

Then, check webmail to see if the phone numbers look the same within the account itself. For iCloud, please visit the iCloud website from Safari or another browser. If a third party account, visit their website in Safari or another browser.

Once you know which account is affected, you can follow steps here to edit contacts on iPhone:

Edit contacts on iPhone

In the Contacts app , assign a photo to a contact, add a pronunciation, change a label, add a birthday, and more to your contacts.

1. Tap a contact, then tap Edit.
2. Enter or update their contact information.
3. When you’re finished, tap Done.

Hope that helps

Take care!
