Autocorrect on my Macbook Air is turned off. This still corrects my words. Any help?

Yes I have turned off the "Correct spelling automatically" in Input settings. Yes my macbook is updated to the latest version. Yes I have restarted the macbook multiple times. Yes I have restarted the app multiple times. Any other solution?

This is only happening in message app.

MacBook Air M1 2020

I am reasonably certain there is a bug associated with iMessage. Oddly enough the Messages app will not auto-correct if you are sending text (SMS / MMS) messages. Only iMessages.

What app are you using? Some apps may have their own auto-correct settings. I know that TextEdit and Microsoft Word both have their own auto-correct settings.
