Dark spot in the bottom left corner of the screen

A dark spot appeared in the bottom left corner of the screen of my iPhone 11. I am not able to include any photos, but the spot is very similar, if not identical, to the one in this post: A certain dark spot appeared in the lower… - Apple Community. As mentioned in the post, it is the most visible on gray backgrouds. It is not visible on screenshots and I am pretty much certain that I had something similar on my iPhone 8 plus. Can anyone help with identifying the issue and possibly tell whether the costs of the repair can be covered by warranty?

Hello, I just wanted to let anyone else having the same problem know that I contacted my local Apple Service Provider and they fixed it (changed the whole screen) for free, under warranty. If you have the same problem and your phone is still under warranty, you should run to have it fixed by Apple :)

We can understand being concerned with seeing a dark spot on your devices. Since noticing this has your iPhone been restarted? Restarting can help resolve many unexpected behaviors we may notices with our devices.

1. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power off slider appears.

2. Drag the slider and wait about 30 seconds.

3. Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears to power it back on. Once back on, test to see if this continues.

You can also confirm that your device is running the latest iOS in order to eliminate it not being up to date as a possible cause. You can confirm there are no updates to install by going to Settings > General > Software Updates.
