I have an Apple TV and I would like to watch movies with my AirPod generation threes in, but also my family watches the movie from the speakers, is it possible to have the AirPods audio and the tv’s audio play at the same time? If you’re wondering why I want to, it’s so I can watch movies with surround sound on.

So I cant play from the speakers and the AirPods?
No - because the speakers and AirPods would likely be out of sync (like an echo).
This is the same with hearing aids that connect to the Apple TV.
Will Apple TV work with AirPods and the tv speaker at the same time?
