Play own music during Apple Fitness+ workout

I love the Apple Fitness+ workouts but the music they play is horrible. I’m assuming artists are paying so Apple uses their songs during the workout. Is it possible to mute their music and play your own during the workout?

Turning Off Music On Apple Fitness + Is there a way to completely turn off the background music while using the Apple Fitness+ app? The current Focus function only lowers the volume, but I find the music distracting and would prefer to hear only the trainer's instructions. It would be great to have an option to disable the music entirely. Is this possible, or are there plans to add this feature?
