How can I fix this

When I get sent photos and videos, they always become like this.

And when I go to all the photos sent overall, the photos that are sent are not there.

How can I fix this??

These two file formats are frequently used in Adobe programs. I ran into them while working on a personalized calendar project this winter. The photographers were trying to help by editing the photos for me in Photoshop. They saved the files as .png instead of using the Save As feature to convert them to jpg files. I could not use those photos. It was resolved in two ways:

  1. I had to open the files that were sent so far in Adobe Photo Editor then convert them one by one.
  2. I notified the photographers to make sure they went thru the final step of using Save As before sending me the photos.

You can Google the two formats to learn more about them. Hope this helps.

Hello, jenelle-r,

I have had this problem. I am pretty sure there is a setting to turn this off. The problem is that the images are being sent in a different format that apple products cannot display or will not display. Also, this happens when you are connected to cellular data so try connecting to a Wifi connection. I have also just long pressed on the images and then selected them and they somehow appeared so you can try that.

I couldn't find any Apple Support articles to help so this is your best bet.

Best regards,

Kevin
