Do I have to do anything to register Apple Care when buying from Amazon?

You best check with Apple (or Amazon); Apple will do it automatically, but third party sellers, even if authorized resellers, may not. Also check your device to see what it says in the Settings - it should show the expiration date. We are just other users here and have no access.
