Dropped something on my phone

Does anyone know how long my phone will continue to work in this state and/or how much money it will cost to fix?

I dropped a perfume bottle on my phone. It cracked the screen protector and several hours later the touch screen has changed to a green colour around the crack. When my phone begins to turn off, when I turn it off, or when I turn it on the bottom quarter of it flashes green. Any time the screen shows something all black it’s all very green tinged.

It’s an iPhone 12, just over a year old.

Sorry, we could only guess on "how long". Best to get the screen evaluated at an Apple Store or Apple Service shop.

Estimate / guess on screen replacement.....about $280 U.S.

If you have AppleCare +......about $30 U.S.

Hey there, I do not recommend continuing use of your product until you take it to an Apple Specialist. A screen replacement for your iPhone 12 would be $279 without AppleCare+ and $29 with it.

Just an update in case anyone finds themselves in the same situation.

The phone continued to work fine for the next day and a half. The bottom half began to flicker/strobe green when turning on and off. Eventually I couldn’t manually turn it on and it had to turn itself on (notifications, charging, etc.). But ultimately it stopped working completely about a day and a half after I had first broken it.

Had I gone into Apple right away it may have been salvageable, but I was unable to do so. When it had completely broken I was told by Apple it would be a minimum of 500$ to fix if they could even fix it which they weren’t sure they could.
