How do I upgrade the reminders app at a later time?

When the reminders app upgrade initially came out, I was on an iPhone 7 Plus. I accidentally closed out of the upgrade screen too fast so my app never upgraded and I never got the option to do it afterwards. I have since updated my phone to an iPhone 12 and I figured since I was getting a new phone, it would have the upgraded reminders app automatically, but it is still the old app despite having the new one on both my iPad and Macbook. Is there a way to upgrade the app now when there is no option to?
