Trying to Reinstall MacOS in Online Recovery Mode But Keep Encountering Errors

Hi, recently I had to wipe a iMac as I was giving it away to someone else, however, after going into recovery mode and wiping the drive and trying to reinstall MacOS, it goes through the progress bar, however, at the end it always says, An error occurred while preparing the installation. Try running this application again. However I have retried many times, and every time it ends up with the same exact message. (Here is a log of the errors) And now I can't even boot into the mac anymore as it displays a flashing question mark folder when attempting to boot it. I have erased the drive and set it to Mac OS Extended Journaled, and I have no idea what I am doing wrong that is causing this, please help.

Or is there a alternative way that I can bypass this? Like making a USB boot drive for mac OS?

In recovery mode look up top for a Utilities or Tools menu, choose Terminal and type...

diskutil list

Whew, too many Untitleds !

I'd try erasing the drive again, if the same thing happens I'd try installing to an external drive.

Which OS are you trying to install & which OS did it have before?

the -110 error is a "Storage Allocator Error - memAdrErr" and occurs when the "Address was odd, or out of range".

Thanks for the response, I am trying to install MacOS Sierra, which was the OS that came with the Mac, as that was the only option when I tried to reinstall the OS. The Mac used to have Monterey on it before I wiped the drive.

As for the Storage Error, do you think that this means that there is something wrong with the hard drive? possibly the SATA connector being broken? or even the drive itself? or does that mean there is corruption within the drive itself that is preventing the install? And what would be your suggested next step?

In this recovery mode disk utility, under internal it shows the Mac HDD, I have wiped the drive using disk utility and I have ran first aid on the internal HDD and it shows up as all clear. Is there a separate way to see disk utility using the terminal? and how would I access it from the Mac OS utility in recovery mode?

Sorry for the long delay, I just got back to working on my Mac again, but here is the screenshots of what the terminal disk utility say. Please let me know how should I proceed forward, again thank you so much for your help. Oh and I do have a USB drive plugged into the mac, when I tried to make a bootable USB installer, but it did not work as I couldn't figure out a way to get the mac to register there is a bootable USB drive.

Ok, I will try to erase the drive again using the disk utility and hopefully it get rid of these untitled drives
