I have an iPhone SE (2nd Gen) and at times it will make the time quite small. I’ve tried customising it and fiddling around with the settings but it just won’t go back to its normal and original size. I took a screenshot which is below

If you want to change the style of the font used for the time, you can do so with these steps:
Touch and hold on the Lock Screen > Select the Customize option at the bottom > Select the Lock Screen > Touch the time, then select the font you want to use. Once you've chosen the font, just press the X at the top right of the Font and Color options, then select Done at the top right corner of the screen.
