iPhone battery dies very quickly while doing nothing

my phone dies very quickly while doing nothing and the battery is at 89% max capacity and says it’s performing normal overnight it wasn’t used and the only app that was active was exposure notifications is there a way to fix this or do I need a new phone. I have a iPhone XR.
