No contact name only number showing phone number

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Since your contact names do not appear in Messages, we'd recommend making sure that these contacts show up in your Contacts app. That is where your Messages app will get contact info. Your contacts can be iCloud or associated with a third-party email account. So, if you have recently deleted any accounts, that may help explain why this happened. Check each account to make sure Contacts is enabled using the following guidance from Use other contact accounts on iPhone.

"Add contacts from another account

1. Go to Settings > Contacts > Accounts, then tap Add Account
2. Choose an account, sign in to it, then turn on Contacts."
