iPhone 14 Pro not charging on MagSafe Duo with Clear Case on it.

Hi all,

Hope you are all well.

I recently have bought a new iPhone 14 Pro alongside with the official Apple Magsafe Clear Case. When the case is covering the phone, it is not charging when placed on the Apple MagSafe Duo Charger. Magnets snap, animation shows up - but no charging progress at all. I have restarted the phone, without any improvement. Phone charges normal on the pad without case.

A bit frustrating given the known premium quality claim by Apple, especially as I have choosen to go with an "official certified" product combination over hundreds of third party choices available.

Anyone got any idea what do to to fix that behaviour?

Appreciate all tips and hints, thanks a lot in advance.

Sascha

Hello saschafromkorchenbroich-glehn,

Let's use the steps below to make sure that your iPhone 14 Pro is all up to date:

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
The Settings app on iPhone showing options to update to iOS 15.7 or iOS 16.

5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

You can also find those steps in this resource: Update your iPhone or iPad Updating can help to further isolate any potential software conflicts.

Should that still persist, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support: Contact - Official Apple Support They'll be in the best position to look into this further.

Take care.
