Adding Spotify app to family Apple Watch SE

Hi! Just got my son a new Apple watch SE. The set up and pair was pretty straight forward, but I'd like to add the Spotify app to his watch so he can listen to music. But I can't seem to get it to show up on the watch. I have two versions of the app on my phone and the watch is paired to my phone. But the app doesn't show on the watch and there appears to be no way to install it? When I go to the apps section on the My Watch app, there is no option to add or install. Help!

KT,

In the Watch app on the iPhone, look at the list of apps. If Spotify is in the "available" list, install it. If it is already installed, tap it in the app list and enable "show on Apple Watch."

Thank you for the reply! But the app doesn’t show as an option like is does for my personal watch. It’s not listed as an available app or installed app for my son’s watch.

I have see so many of these Spotify on Family Watch problems back to the summer, I think Spotify don't allow it.

You can't have two versions, one or both must be fake so please delete both and install the one version from the App store

Spotify is the most difficult app to install on family watch, so it may be by design. I don't have Spotify but is is sharable?

By “versions” I mean I have regular Spotify and the kids version. They are not fake as I use them all the time. And they were downloaded from the App Store. I just can’t get it on the watch - likely a design issue like you mentioned. Will try to uninstall and reinstall. Thank you.

It may be confusing it.

I don't use Spotify and I don't have family Watches but I do know that the only way Spotify is available on my Watch is when I install it on the iphone. and uninstalling from iphone loses it from the Watch
