Confirm iPad passcode

I recently updated to OS16.2 and now there is a message in my general settings to confirm my iPad pass code to continue using iCloud. I’ve never changed my pass code and I can still shut down and sign back into my iPad. Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue. I have an iPad Pro model MLN12LL/A from 2016.
