Can I change my child’s age on his Apple ID account or do I have to create a whole new one? He is 11 and his bday he uses says he’s 45

I am not sure what happens when you change the age to a child's age. I think you may then get a notice saying the child has to become part of a Family Sharing group with an adult as the Organizer. It may all be one smooth process or you may have to set up Family Sharing first. I'd just give it a try and see how it works.
