Apple ID issues

When I try to sign up for a game with my Apple ID a notification pops up and says “Your Apple ID cannot be used to create accounts for other apps.” Then when I try to install a new card into my Apple wallet another notification pops up stating “Payment cards are not supported for this account”. I am above 13 years old and have tried everything on the Apple help page as well as YouTube. Both have been unsuccessful. How do I get my Apple ID to work?

iPhone 13, iOS 16

Hello Natalie4evr,

You may wish to see if there are restrictions enabled on the device. These may be found in Settings > Screen Time.

This page can help provide some further info on using Screen Time to see if that may be related: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Be sure to also check the date of birth for your Apple ID to ensure that's set accurately: Update the birth date associated with your Apple ID

On the web
1. Sign in to appleid.apple.com.
2. Select Personal Information, then choose Birthday.
3. Update your birth date and click Save. If you're changing a birth date for a child, learn what to do

We noted you mentioned being above 13, however the minimum age for some features will vary from region to region. If you happen to be under the minimum age for the region then this may prevent usage of the related features.

Cheers.
