Is this a New Issue or Old Issue ? 

New Issue - what has changed on the computer ?

Old Issue - what actions has the user taken to fix this issue ?

Reliable , accurate, details / context will really help to pinpoint a possible solution.

Then uninstall it and use one of the other browsers based on Chrome that don't have all the Google tracking stuff and behave much better, like Brave or Vivaldi

FWIW, Chrome does not prevent other apps from opening.

I should have added, if you have problems opening apps, it's for some other reason. Some details would be useful.
