Disable ring silent switch

My ring/silent switch seems to be broken, it no longer has enough tension to stay in place. Rather than send for repair is there a way to disable or assign it to another task?

Mute option removed from AssistiveTouch options list iOS 18.3 doesn't show the Mute option anymore in the AssistiveTouch options list. I used to have it set for my Double-Tap action and now it's not there anymore. This happens on my 16 Pro Max, other older devices don't have this issue so it must be connected to the "Action Button" which I had it set for a different action but now I need to return it and use it for mute/unmute (ridiculous!). What's the logic here @Apple? There used to be a physical switch for Mute/Unmute while we were allowed to have the functionality set on the AssistiveTouch and now that the physical switch is gone, replaced by a button with many other options added we're forced to use the button for Mute/Unmute? Who's the genius behind this decision ? Can you give him a different assignment? He's clearly overwhelmed. Please add the Mute/Unmute option back to the AssistiveTouch!

no side button appears on 1100 for mute ringer, I really need to unmute 1100 does not appear on side, three is a some sort button looking square in look but it does nothing yet, I need ringer to work and I cannot make red bell slash go away and Ringer doesn't ring in incomin calls, Please Help?

That's a good question, but it's not possible to reassign the Silent/Ring switch.
