Reducing wait time for password reset
After trying to reset my password on my apple account I now have the following message:
"You will be able to reset your password in 13 days."
Yesterday this message said it would take one day. After checking on the wait period a couple times... the wait period is now extended to 13 days. Presumably because apple assumed I was continuing to try to hack into the account (by typing in a password field).
Since I rely on this account for work, this means I cannot do any productive work for 2 weeks.
So my question is not whether this period can be reduced (the post and title are being edited by the moderator - who should instead be sending emails & fixing the problem), it is whether any product manager at apple is aware of this policy and in communication with apples security department, ensuring they understand how inconvenient for all their users this is.
